Paul, Marshall & Linda
The Stephenson Brothers were born at home in the three-room plankhouse (see CD cover above) with well and "tickle" on a dirt road out from Benson, NC, near McGee's Crossroads. Since childhood, Paul has played music in neighborhood bands. He is the founder of Stephenson's Barbecue & Nursery. Marshall is the professional musician in the family having played with Homer Briarhopper and Clyde Moody. Originally from Buffalo, NY, Linda married Shelby in 1966. In the spring of 1996 they moved to the homeplace where the brothers grew up.
